The Importance Of Proper Balance:

Many health problems can be caused by body imbalance.

Symptoms Of Imbalance:
Aches and pains
Fatigue
Dizziness
Headaches
Not feeling right

Benefits Of Body Balance:
Relief from chronic pain
Improved sense of well-being
Better stress management
Increased physical and mental function

When your head is centered over your neck, your spinal column remains straight and balanced.  This leads to improved function and better health.  It is a good idea to make sure that your head is on straight!

How To Maintain Your Spinal Correction:

DO’S…
Sit with your feet on the floor, keep your back against the chair.
Lift with your legs, keeping your back straight.
Sleep on your side or back.
Have your computer monitor at eye level.

DON’TS…
Don’t sleep on your stomach; it stresses your neck.
Don’t hold the phone using your shoulder.
Don’t you (or anyone) roll or pop your neck.
Don’t bend your neck back while having your hair washed-- bend forward instead.

Recommended schedule of care:

Initial Care- We see a patient an average of 8-12 visits during the first six weeks.  Most people notice relief of pain and symptoms during this time.
Corrective Care- Some patients choose to fix their problem so that it won’t come back.  We usually see them less frequently during this period – on average 2-4 visits a month.
Wellness Care- Keep your body in balance with periodic check-ups every 4-8 weeks.  Getting well before you get sick is a more effective and less expensive form of health care.

Questions and Answers About Upper Cervical Care

What is the primary objective of the Upper Cervical Doctor?
Dr. Hirschhorn’s primary objective is to make an Upper Cervical Spinal Correction.

What is the purpose of the Upper Cervical Spinal Correction?
The Upper Cervical Spinal Correction is designed to restore head and neck alignment so your brain can send healing messages to the affected part of your body and start your natural self-healing process.

Once my self-healing process starts, how long does it last?
Your self-healing process continues as long as you maintain head and neck alignment so your brain can freely communicate with all parts of your body without any interference.

How does my  head and neck alignment (Upper Cervical Correction) affect my  body's  healing?
Head and neck alignment removes any brain to body interference so healing messages from your brain can flow freely to the affected part of your body and restore good health.

When will another head and neck alignment correction be necessary?
Corrections are necessary when tests indicate you have failed to maintain your previous correction.

When will I be able to detect improvement?
Usually you can detect improvement after your first correction, because your self-healing process starts immediately after your correction.  The longer your correction is maintained without the need for another correction that would disrupt the self-healing process, the better your experienced results.

As a general rule, up to 85% of the symptoms show improvement in the first 6 to 8 weeks, provided your head and neck alignment is maintained.

What is Dr. Hirschhorn’s secondary  objective?
Dr. Hirschhorn’s secondary  objective is to continue to help you maintain head and neck alignment until your self-healing process is completed, good health is restored, and you can enjoy a better quality of life.
